2. Are you willing to face the odds? There is no silver bullet when it comes to building a successful home based business. Do not expect immediate results. In fact, chances are that you won't see any result initially even though you have done some hard works. Many people could become discouraged very fast when they see no result initially. Working on a business is not like having a job where you'll always receive your pay check at the end of the month. 3. Can you set goals and stick to them? FOCUS is the key to home business success. You need to learn how to set target and work on it until you achieve your goal. If you don't have a focus, you would get sidetracked very easily.

4. Can you treat your home business as a business and not a hobby? Business is not something that you could undertake as a hobby. The stake can be high and responsibility is needed. If you treat your business as a hobby, you won't succeed.

5. Are you financially responsible? You need to be able to manage your finances responsibly. When you have started making some money, you need to be able to put what you have earned into good use. Part of what you earn may need to be reinvested into your business again. So, you need to learn how to make and prepare a budget for your business growth.
